Passive System Activation

Homes built after 2011 are required to be built with a Passive Radon System. Passive systems on occasion do not provide adequate radon removal. A passive radon system relies on natural upward airflow to vent the radon outside of the home. An active system uses a radon fan to control the airflow and vent the soil beneath the home.

Our installations are generally completed in one day and performed by LICENSED radon professionals.

An active radon system is better at removing radon than a passive system, and may also have the added benefit of decreasing moisture and any soil vapors that might be present. We recommend activating them by installing a Radon Fan in the attic along with a pressure gauge on the pipe. Sealing up radon entry points such as gaps, cracks, and sump pits is also done during system activation.
